This technical document explains the methods to update a NetSupport DNA installation to the latest version. There are two alternative methods to update a NetSupport DNA installation to the latest version:

In previous versions of NetSupport DNA when new Software applications were installed onto Clients machines they would be automatically added to the DNA Console view. This could cause unwanted applications to be shown in the Software Inventory.

NetSupport DNA 3.00 is currently only available in English, If you try and update a previous installation of NetSupport DNA that was installed using a different language you will be prompted that this cannot be completed.

NetSupport DNA Database Structure.

NetSupport DNA stores all its inventory metering and configuration in an SQL database. We have had many requests for information on the Database structure used for NetSupport DNA. The attached pdf file at the bottom of this document describes all the tables in the NetSupport DNA Database there structure and the data that each table contains.

SQL Server 2005 Support for NetSupport DNA

NetSupport DNA version 2.70 introduced support for SQL 2005 databases. The NetSupport DNA installation program will now correctly detect and connect to a database server running Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or SQL Express.

Runtime Error in DNA Console when using the Back button to move up the hierachy

A Runtime error would appear in the DNA 2.60 Console when the using the Back button to move up the hierachy from a PC to a Department view. This problem would only appear on the Internet Metering Tab in the DNA Console.

NetSupport DNA 2.60 updates for German, Spanish and Italian language variants

NetSupport DNA version 2.60 is now available, in the German, French, Spanish and Italian language variants. If you have an existing installation of NetSupport DNA 2.50 you can upgrade to version 2.60 by using the online update mechanism. To update you existing installation follow the procedure below.
