Summary
When performing an Installation or Upgrade of NetSupport DNA, you may receive the error Incorrect Syntax near 'COLLATE' after rebooting the DNA Server. The error will only occur when using either SQL Server 7 or MSDE1 Databases.
Details
There has been fix released in order to resolve this issue. To install this fix please perform the following:
1) Download the DBUpdate.Zip file at the bottom of this Knowledgebase Article,
2) Stop the "NetSupport DNA Server" service, by performing the following you can stop the NetSupport DNA Server service:
- Go into a Command Prompt (Start Bar, Run and Type "cmd")
- Type Net Stop "NetSupport DNA Server"
3) Extract the DBUpdate.Dll file into {Installation Directory}\DNA\Server (I.e. C:\Program Files\NetSupport DNA\DNA\Server),
4) Start the "NetSupport DNA Server" service, by performing the following you can start the NetSupport DNA Server service:
- Go into a Command Prompt (Start Bar, Run and Type "cmd")
- Type Net Start "NetSupport DNA Server"
Once you have restarted the NetSupport DNA Server service, DNA 2 will automatically complete the installation or upgrade and will start to collect data from any connected client machines.
