Summary 

An issue has been discovered regarding the System Alerts feature in NetSupport DNA 2.50. There is a component file in DNA that that is required by the Console in order for the Systems Alerts to function for that Console User.


This file is included in the DNA Main Installer and will be installed on all DNA Server and Console installations. However NetSupport DNA also includes an automatic update method for DNA Consoles, this means that when a previous version DNA Console connects to an upgraded DNA Server it will automatically be updated. Now a problem has been discovered with this automated process and it has been found that the System Alerts components file is not included in the Update.

Details

 

The name of the Component file is ComponentAlerts.dll and in order to resolve this problem the Alerts component file can be copied to the below location on the DNA Console installation. Before copying the file to the Console please ensure that the DNA Console is closed on the machine: -

 

.\Program Files\NetSupport DNA\DNA\Console

 

The ComponentAlert.dll file required to resolve the problem can be download from a link at the bottom of this page.
